Great news! Groesbeck ISD received a $788,730.00 Jobs & Education for Texans (JET) Grant from the Texas Workforce Commission. This grant includes a $39,000.00 match of GISD funds. The JET program provides grants for the development of career and technical education (CTE) courses. This grant will be used to outfit the GHS Vocational Ag. Department with state-of-the-art welding machines and equipment. To accommodate the new equipment, electrical upgrades will begin during the Spring Break. Cindy Ensminger, Director of Instructional Services, applied for the grant back in 2022. Ms. Ensminger stated, “We are so excited to receive this grant which will expand the technical education opportunities for our students.”
