#BondFAQ: How did the district determine which facilities would be proposed for construction? 📄 Working with the Board of Trustees, teachers, and administrators from across the district, the facilities planning committee developed a list of items to consider for inclusion in a bond package. ✏️ The District has been evaluating current facilities, ongoing enrollment, growth, and other district priorities with the Board of Trustees. https://www.groesbeckisdbond.com/
8th grade science was pretty exciting today! These kids are loving the experiments and all of the hands on learning. Who knew everyday items like sand, soap, baking soda and hydrogen peroxide could be so much fun when put together to form a reaction!
B - I -G 🐐 R - E - D! Annual Pep Rally and Pancake Breakfast, hosted by the First Methodist Church, will be on September 5 at 7:00 a.m.

GMS week 1 was great! The halls are full again, the kids are laughing, talking, and learning. We are set for a successful year and excited to see what these amazing students do! We are GMS proud!

Middle School Football: We will practice during 1st period Athletics the first week of school, Wednesday - Friday (8/13 - 8/15). 1st Day Equipment/Lockers - Conditioning 2nd & 3rd - Practice during the period. 2025-26 GISD Convocation - Superintendent Scott Cummings welcomed staff back to work, along with the band and color guard performance, and the GHS cheerleaders bringing on the spirit. This year's guest speaker was GHS alumnus Tony Taveras. Taveras brought enthusiasm with his story of becoming and being a GOAT, and a challenge for GISD to be that spark for the students. Cummings recognized Bud Nolan as Elementary Teacher of the Year, Jenna Jones as Secondary Teacher of the Year, and Channing Coffey for his accomplishments with TIA. We're off to a great year, GOATS!
