Here are some important dates for GMS concerning the Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) during April and May.
April 16th-7th and 8th Reading
April 22nd-8th Social Studies
April 24th-8th Science
May 1st-7th and 8th Math
Make sure the students' Chromebooks are charged and ready for testing. Testing will begin at 8:00am. Remember cell phones and smart watches are not allowed during testing. Make sure students get a good night's sleep and are on time for school.

GMS cherr/mascot candidates may enter through the side gym door up until 4:25. They will then have to go to the front of
the school. Candidates will call their parent for pickup when they are done.
Results will not go out until about 3:20 tomorrow.

After a comprehensive process led by the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB), Dr. George Kazanas, Superintendent Search Consultant, the Groesbeck ISD Board of Trustees is honored to announce that the Superintendent from Westphalia ISD, Scott Cummings, as our LONE FINALIST for Groesbeck I.S.D. The 21-day wait period will end on April 9, 2025.
