Students and Parents
This year will be my 35th year working with sixth grade students in Groesbeck I.S.D., which I thoroughly enjoy.
I was born in Groesbeck and am a graduate of Groesbeck High School. I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A&M. I also have a master's degree in educational technology from Sam Houston State. My teaching certifications include Secondary Mathematics and Secondary Social Studies.
My interests include fishing, gardening, and studying/preserving local history. I serve on the Limestone County Historical Commission and the Limestone County Historical Museum board.
Specials / Conference
Welcome to Sixth Grade Social Studies. This year you will have opportunities to learn about the world as you study the geography and cultures of its continents and many regions. You will learn about the Earth’s geography, how the Earth’s geography affects people, how people affect the Earth, and how people adapt to their environment. You will also learn about the cultures of various groups of people from different regions of the world. This will include the study of their political systems, economic systems, religions, food, customs, and anything else that is part of how each of these groups of people live.
