Dear Parents and Families,

Earlier this spring, your child participated in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®). STAAR is one of several tools used to measure your child’s academic progress. Teachers use these results—along with classroom performance and other data—to support your child’s learning in the upcoming school year.

You will be able to view your child’s STAAR results on the following dates:

June 10, 2025 – STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) assessments
June 17, 2025 – STAAR Grades 3–8 assessments

To access your child’s results, log in to the GISD Parent Portal or visit the TEA/Texas Assessment Family Portal website. Once logged in, you will find detailed information about each test, including which questions your child answered correctly or incorrectly. This insight helps identify their academic strengths and areas for growth. Many families find this breakdown especially helpful.
