EWIS students will participate in the State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR) during April and May.
EWIS 2025 STAAR Testing Schedule:
04/10- 5th Reading
04/15- 4th Reading
4/16- 6th Reading
4/24- 5th Science
4/29- 4th Math
4/30- 5th Math
5/1- 6th Math
*Reminders:
1) Campus will be closed to all visitors and lunch drop offs on testing days.
2) Testing will begin promptly at 8:00 am.
3) Cell phones & Smart watches are not permitted for students or staff during testing.
4) Students need to be prepared to leave these items at home or turn them off and be collected by the test administrator during testing.
5) They may need to bring a book or snack (“non-messy” snacks work best). We will be providing one snack and one water.
6) Keep your student home if he/she is ill. Make up testing will be administered the day following your student's return.
7) Students should dress comfy & a jacket in case the testing room is cold.
8) Students will have until the end of the school day to complete the test.
9) Encourage your student to go to bed earlier than usual to get a good night's rest.
