Groesbeck Lady Goats got the win last night over Westwood with a score of 18-1. They are currently sitting in 3rd place for the district. Please come out and support the Lady Goats next Tuesday here at home as they face Franklin.

REMINDER: Monday, April 8th, is a Student Holiday (No School). GISD students will receive a pair of solar lenses to take home. An informational sheet will be given as well. Please be safe during this solar eclipse.

Superintendent Food Council tasting round 4...What an amazing experience. We are all excited to see how our menu will change here at GISD next year!

Some memebers of the Superintendent Food Council are visiting Athens ISD. We are sampling food items from different districts who use 3rd party providers who may be bidding on our FSMC contract.

Teacher and Coach Windy Roberts has been named the Girls' Athletic Coordinator for GISD. Go GOATS!

Mark your calendar for the next Parent University this Wednesday, March 27th at 6:15 at the H.O. Whitehurst theater. The topic of this session will be Parent Involvement: How to get invovled in your child's education. Join us and learn about opportunities with the PTO and booster organizations, as well as how to be in the "know" about upcoming events and activities, as well as your students grades. Pizza will be served, so please come munch and learn!

Biology STAAR End-of-Course (EOC) exam is Tues, April 23, 2024 for GHS! Students are working hard during class time to learn this material-this additional opportunity will make ALL the difference! Please join us since "MEETS" is the measure and "MASTERS" is the goal! #gobigred
