Mark your calendars: A Dual Credit Parent Information Meeting with Navarro will be held on February 12th at 5:30 pm in the GHS library. All are welcome to come and learn about what dual credit courses are currently offered, the enrollment requirements, the expectation of dual credit students, and much more. Please plan to attend!

On January 31st, 2026, two rookie teams stepped onto the field at the Battle for Valhalla Robotics Competition for the very first time. 🤖⚔️

The GHS Robotics Team was surrounded by larger, more experienced programs, but we learned fast, adapted on the fly, and supported each other every step of the way. The experience proved that determination, teamwork, and passion belong on the competition floor just as much as years of experience.

This was only the beginning—and we’re proud of how both teams rose to the challenge. 🚀

REMINDER: The Academic Blanket Ceremony hosted by the Groesbeck Study Club will be held tonight at 5:30 pm in the GHS auditorium. Please join in the celebration of the academic success of our students.

Progress reports are now posted in the parent portal and a paper copy will be sent home with students on Wednesday.

The middle school girls will now play at home tomorrow, Thursday, Jan. 29 vs Marlin. 3 games starting at 5:00 PM. Go GOATS!

Lady Goats Softball Scrimmage/Games are canceled for this week.

Varsity Girls and Varsity Boys Basketball will play @ Fairfield tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28

While the main roads into Groesbeck are much improved because of ice treatment and just more travel, the rural roads still have a significant amount of ice. Out of an abundance of caution, Groesbeck ISD will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28th. We are expecting conditions to improve tomorrow, and we look forward to getting our students and staff back at school on Thursday.

Due to the possible road conditions and re-icing, Groesbeck ISD will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January27th. All extracurricular events are also canceled. We will not have to make up these days, as we have extra minutes built into the calendar. GISD will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions and will post notice tomorrow about Wednesday. Stay warm and safe GOATS!
