Parent University is next Wednesday, January 24th at 6:15 p.m. at the H. O. Whitehurst campus. Shae Garcia, the Licensed Dependency Counselor of Freestone and Limestone County, will be presenting on drug and alcohol awareness. This is such an important topic for our children and community. We look forward to seeing you there!
Please come out and support our parent university program and let us know future topics that you would be interested in. We are hoping to grow this program and your feedback is important.

GISD will be on "Regular Schedule" for Wednesday, Jan. 17th. This was determined after reviewing road conditions, school infrastructure, and conditions of our buses.
Please allow extra travel time in the morning, as temperatures remain below freezing.
-Superintendent Figueroa

Due to unsafe travel on many of our back roads, GISD will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 16th. All school events for Tuesday, including practices and games are also cancelled/postponed.
We will continue to monitor road conditions Tuesday to determine Wednesday's schedule.
