This week we are recognizing Red Ribbon Week at GHS. The theme for 2023 is "Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free." Everyday students have an opportunity to learn more about how to live a full and healthy life drug free. We are also raising awareness about the dangers of fentanyl with our students.

A reminder to parents and students: LifeTouch will be doing picture retakes tomorrow for grades 9-11 at GHS during English classes. This will be the last retake day for the school year. Email Mr. Kirkendoll at 't.kirkendoll@groesbeckisd.net' with any questions you may have.

Early voting has begun. GISD's tax proposal is near the end of the ballot. Voting "For" allows the ISD to increase the M&O rate by 3 cents. GISD would then lower the I&S rate by 3 cents so the overall tax rate would remain at 97 cents. The new State revenue would be used to balance the current budget.
Voting "Against" the tax proposal would require GISD to reduce its current budget by $800,000, yet the tax rate would stay at the 97 cent rate. Since the State budgeted for GISS passing the proposal, the state would hold onto the funds versus releasing them to GISD.

Goat Family we NEED YOU 🫵🏼 at the game tomorrow vs Franklin. We are playing for a high seeding for playoffs, come support your Lady Goats! GO BIG RED 🐐🏐
