GISD is offering its Substitute Classroom Training on November 7th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the GISD Board Room, 1202 N. Ellis St. To substitute in the classroom, you must attend training. If you attended a GISD Substitute Training, you do not need to attend again.


Red Ribbon Week day 5: stay away from drugs and shine bright! Today our students are dressed in bling and had an opportunity to interact with Chief Henson and Sgt Bell. Our students learned more about the Impact of alcohol on the body by utilizing drunk goggles. Thank you Chief Henson for coming out!










Red ribbon week day 4-Don’t let drugs control your emoji! Thursday students were casting votes for the fentanyl awareness poster contest. The winner will be Announced Friday!










Next week, GHS will start the Youth Awareness of Mental Health (YAM) program with the freshman class. This is a 5-week program to promote awareness and knowledge of mental health in youth and skill building.
