The Texas Education Agency (TEA) invites Texas educators to grade-level and content-specific committee meetings each year to provide feedback on the development of state assessments. Educators collaborate to review and approve potential items for state assessments.

Groesbeck ISD is offering its Substitute Classroom Training on August 29 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the GISD Board Room, 1202 N. Ellis Street. To substitute in the classroom, you must attend a training. However, if you have attended a GISD Substitute Training last year, you do not need to attend again.

Both JV teams will be hosting the Back to School Bash at GHS, while the Varsity will travel to Huntsville for a tournament Thursday-Saturday. The Lady Goats Varsity Volleyball Team played in the Leon Tournament today, winning 2 of 3 games, against Centerville and Bremond. They will travel back to Leon tomorrow to face West Rusk, Frankston and Grandview's JV. They will play at 3:00, 4:00 and 7:00 PM.

The Varsity Volleyball team will be playing in Leon this weekend, starting tomorrow morning. The bus will be pulling out at 7:00 AM and our first game will start at 9:00. Come out and support this team if you can.
