NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO DISCUSS GROESBECK ISD INTERNET SAFETY POLICY AND CHILDREN's INTERNET PROTECTION ACT (CIPA)
Groesbeck ISD will hold a public hearing at the regular board meeting, which will be held at 6:00 p.m. on May 20, 2024, at the Groesbeck ISD Board Room, located at 1202 N. Ellis, Groesbeck, TX 76642.
The purpose of this hearing is to discuss Groesbeck ISD’s Internet Safety Policy in compliance with the Children’s Internet Protection Act (CIPA). The plan can be viewed at https://groesbeckisdtx.sites.thrillshare.com/page/internet-safety-plan-and-cyber-safety

Groesbeck ISD will be closed today, May 2, 2024.
We are expecting more heavy rain and will notify all by 6pm tonight if further delays or cancellations are necessary.
*Less than 6" of rain can take a car off a road. Please do not risk your safety or the safety of others by traveling in areas affected by flooding.
As long as there is no significant weather conditions tonight, Groesbeck ISD will open as normal tomorrow, Friday, May 3, 2024.
*Note that some bus riders may be contacted to work out an alternative pick-up location as needed due to road erosion.

Groesbeck ISD will have a 2-hour delayed start on May 2, 2024 due to flooding and downed trees.
We will continue to assess the road conditions and will communicate if any further changes are made. **Buses will run their routes 2-hours behind.
