Tomorrow night, Thursday, Dec 7th, GHS Student Council has a fun night planned for the whole family! Bring the kids in PJs and enjoy some crafts, face painting, pictures with your favorite holiday characters, and best of all The Polar Express! Help our students spread the joy of Christmas and gather gifts to donate back to our community with Santa's Toy Bank. Hope to see everyone there!

The next Parent University is on Wednesday, December 13th, from 6:15 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. at the H.O. Whitehurst theater. Crime stoppers of Houston will be here to present on bullying and cyberbullying and how you can best support your child and all children navigating these concerns. We officially have 11 students performing in this years' Shakespeare Monologue Competition (three cash scholarships will be awarded). Participants should arrive tomorrow (Saturday) by 9:30am at the HS theater. Family and guests are welcome to attend. Performances begin at 10am.

The GMS Girls and Boys Basketball team will have their sports pictures this Friday. Students received their forms today. If you are purchasing pictures, please bring your cash or check with the form on Friday to avoid late fees. Girls will start at 9 and Boys will go after.
Live at GHS! The GHS Shakespeare Monologue Competition is this Saturday, November 18, in the high school auditorium, starting at 10:00 a.m. Free entry and open to the public.
Parent University is tomorrow!! Please join us November 15th at 6:15 p.m. in the H.O. Whitehurst Theater. This session will be focused on an important topic for all students and families to prepare for the next steps after high school . We encourage you to come join us to learn more about the process and benefits of completing the FAFSA, as well as the next steps once it is completed. Karen Denney, The Scholarship Lady of Central Texas, will provide both an entertaining and informative presentation on this topic. Please plan to attend!
Notice for Nominations for Gifted/Talented Services
Groesbeck ISD is beginning the referral process for Gifted/Talented (G/T) services for the 2023–2024 school year. Anyone wishing to refer a student attending Groesbeck ISD in kindergarten through 8th grade can pick up the referral form at the H. O. Whitehurst Elementary, Enge-Washington Intermediate, or Groesbeck Middle School offices or e-mail Crala Pringle at c.pringle@groesbeckisd.net to request the form to be e-mailed. The deadline for submitting the nomination form is December 1, 2023.
