Varsity Baseball-
This Saturdays game against Aggieland HS on 3/8/2025 has been removed from the schedule. This Thursday and Friday games are still on for 10am game time in Leon. Thank yall for supporting these young men, go goats!!

Oncor has done an incredible job replacing a transformer that was knocked out this afternoon! ALL GISD campuses have power!
A special thanks to Chief Henson and Oncor for the hard work during a very strong windy day! Parents & staff, thank you for your patience and support as we do our best to keep our children safe!

Thanks to Oncor, our electricity is back on and we will have school tomorrow and Thursday. As a reminder, we don't have to use our bad weather day so this Friday is a holiday.

Baseball due to weather and field conditions we are rescheduling today's games for Varsity only tomorrow at 6pm at our home field.
3/5/2025:
Groesbeck VS Elkhart (6pm) @ home!!

We are closing school, all campuses, for today. Buses will be running. Oncor could not give us a time of when the power woukd be back on and it could be something this afternoon. We will not have to make up today.

Power is currently out at the high school and at Enge. We have been in contact with Oncor and they are working on getting power to the medical facilities first and then the schools. We will continue to assess the situation and notify if we have to cancel school.

Varsity Baseball-
Due to too many games in a week we removed the Lorena baseball game on Saturday 3/22/2025 from the schedule. I appreciate yall for coming and supporting your Goats Baseball team!

Groesbeck ISD is currently monitoring the Measles outbreak in South Texas. As of 2/19, out of the 58 cases, only 4 were vaccinated. Children receive their MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella) shots at 12 months of age and 4 years of age, meaning the vast majority of our students are fully vaccinated against this virus.
Please contact your primary care physician if you have any questions about your child's vaccination schedule.
For additional questions, you may reach out to your child's school nurse.

Baseball:
Due to weather, the JV home games against Axtell have been canceled.
The Varsity tournament in Palestine has also been canceled due to weather conditions in the area of the tournament.
Thank you for yalls support and patience.

We are closely monitoring the weather, and as of now, our plan is to continue with school every day, even though the wind chill may make it feel colder than the actual temperature. If rain does cause our bridges to freeze, we will cancel school for safety reasons and notify you promptly. Stay tuned for updates.

Softball Update: Today's game will now be varsity only in Axtell at 5 due to the weather. There will be no jv game.

Fairfield Track meet on Feb. 19th 2025 has been cancelled due to weather.
Thank you for your time!!
Go Goats!!

Softball Update: Tuesday's games against Axtell have been changed to varsity starting at 5, followed by jv due to the weather possibly getting bad.

Congratulations to our very own Kristi Flusche for being named as the class 1C representative on the State Board of Directors of the Association of Texas Small School Bands.

Unfortunately the 2024-25 Basketball Season came to an end on Tuesday. Although the season did not end how we all wanted it to, there was tremendous growth on and off the court and I am extremely proud to be the leader of these young men. We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your support throughout the season. If you came to a game, watched a Livestream, wished us good luck or all of the above, we say THANK YOU. We will get back to work, and do everything we can to improve the results of this season. Thank you again and Go Goats!! Together on 3...
