Our teacher of the month for October 2023, Marty Jones, has been teaching and coaching for 18 years.

His favorite thing to do outside of his professional life is to spend time with his family and you will almost always find them all together supporting all thing Groesbeck!
His favorite teacher was math teacher and coach, Ted Willman. “He took the time to teach us and show us he cared for us.”
Marty chose teaching and coaching because of Ted Willman. “He went above and beyond to be a role model on and off the field.”
He stays positive in this challenging profession by looking for the positive and knowing that God is with him in every situation. “The glass is always half full” is one thing Marty lives by.
His best advice for his athletes? “Time flies by so fast. Don't miss any opportunity in life. You don't want to look back when you're older and say I wish I would have done something different. Don't have any regrets. And Most importantly, have fun!”
