PUBLIC MEDIA RELEASE | 2026–2027 SCHOOL YEAR

Groesbeck Independent School District Child Nutrition Program

Groesbeck ISD is pleased to announce that the district will continue participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP) for the 2026–2027 school year.

FREE BREAKFAST & LUNCH FOR ALL STUDENTS

Through CEP, all students enrolled at Groesbeck ISD are eligible to receive one nutritious breakfast and one nutritious lunch each school day at NO CHARGE, regardless of household income.

Because Groesbeck ISD participates district-wide in CEP:

  • All enrolled students may receive breakfast and lunch at no charge.

  • Families are not required to complete a free or reduced-price meal application to receive these meal benefits.

  • Students do not have to be individually approved or qualify based on household income to receive meals at no charge.

CEP allows eligible school districts to provide meals to all students while reducing paperwork for families and helping ensure that every student has access to nutritious meals during the school day.

Additional food items, extra entrées, snacks, and other à la carte purchases are not included in CEP and may be available for purchase.
