Request for Bids: Cat6 Cable Installation Project
Groesbeck ISD is seeking qualified contractors to provide installation services for Cat6 cable runs at Groesbeck Elementary, Groesbeck Middle, and Groesbeck High School. The purpose of this project is to upgrade the infrastructure so that phones can be installed in each classroom for safety purposes.
Scope of Work
- Installation of Cat6 cables according to industry standards and best practices.
- Testing and certification of all installed cables to ensure compliance with Cat6 specifications.
- Mounting of cable trays, conduits, and other necessary fixtures for cable management.
- Termination and labeling of cables at both ends, including patch panel termination and wall plate installation.
- Compliance with all relevant safety regulations and guidelines.

- Location: 3 Campuses
- Total Cable Runs: (86) Elementary School, (56) Middle School, (102) High School
- Expected Completion Date: April 30, 2024
Submission Requirements
- Interested bidders must submit the following documents:
- Company profile highlighting relevant experience in Cat6 cable installation projects.
- Proposed methodology and timeline for completing the project.
- Itemized cost breakdown, including labor, materials, and any additional expenses.
- Proof of insurance and relevant licenses.
- References from previous clients for similar projects.
Bids will be Evaluated Based on the Following Criteria
- Experience and expertise in Cat6 cable installation.
- Cost-effectiveness and value for money.
- Compliance with project requirements and timelines.
- Reputation and references.
- Ability to provide ongoing support and maintenance if needed.
Deadline for Submission
All bids must be submitted to Deana Rand, d.rand@groesbeckisd.net, or delivered by mail or hand-delivered to Groesbeck ISD, ATTN: Deana Rand, 1202 N. Ellis Street, Groesbeck, TX 76642, no later than March 14, 2024, at 2:00 pm. Late submissions will not be considered.
